Setting the Default Language for New Blogs |
|
The Language Preference setting determines the default language used both for system-generated text on new blogs created under your Reseller account and, until it is changed by the blog publisher, for the Publisher Control Panel.
Note: Changing the language setting will not affect existing blogs.
The language preference setting includes a locale; locales determine cultural preferences such as the format used for numbers, currency, time, short date, and long date. For example, "EN_US" will set the language to American English, and the locale to the United States. The locale in this example determines that time will be displayed using the 12-hour clock rather than the 24-hour clock.
The default setting can be changed at any time to another available language.
To change the default language for new blogs:
| 1. | Click the Settings tab. The Edit Settings page opens. |
| 2. | In the Administration Settings section, use the Language Preference drop-down list to choose the language to use. |
| 3. | Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. When you click Save Changes, any new blogs will use the Reseller’s default language (until the blog owner chooses a different language). |
