Customizing Blog Hostnames |
|
Note: Before December 2, 2006, new blogs could be created on the blogware.com domain. Existing Resellers can continue to use blog.blogware.com; however, new Resellers are now required to provide a custom hostname for their users' blogs. For example, instead of funnycatpics.blogware.com, the catmasblogs.com Reseller would assign the URL funnycatpics.catmasblogs.com.
Creating a hostname for a blog
For each new blog you create, you'll need to create a CNAME that points that blog to users.blogware.com. CNAMEs are created in your DNS management interface, provided by your registrar. For example, the catmasblogs.com Reseller would create a CNAME that points manx.catmasblogs.com to users.blogware.com.
