The List

An example list of blogs is shown below:

The list contains the following columns:

Name

The name of the blog. Blogs in the list appear in alphabetical order based on name.

Note that the name of a blog is not fixed. Although one a blog is given a name when it is first created, it can be changed by its owner or anyone with administrative privileges for that blog.

Hostname

The primary hostname of the blog. The hostname is what readers can type into the "Address" bar of their browsers to access the blog. In the list above, the hostname for the topmost blog is chocnvodka.blogware.com; if a reader types this into the Address bar of his/her browser, s/he will be taken to that blog's main page.

Blogs can have two additional hostnames, but only the primary one is shown in the list.

Owner

The owner of the blog. Ownership is assigned to a single user; this assignment is done when the blog is first created. Ownership can be reassigned to another Blogware user by a reseller; see Viewing and Editing a Blog's Settings for details.

Status

The status of the blog, which can be one of the following:

Active
This is the "normal" state of a blog. The administrators can make changes to the blog, writers can post new articles and files, and readers can access the blog to read it and make comments.

Trial - The blog is still within a 30 day trial period.
At the end of the 30 days, the account moves to "On Hold - Read Only" status where the Reseller can restore it. After 15 days in "On Hold - Read Only" status, the account goes into "Pending Delete" status for 5 days and can no longer be accessed by the Reseller. After five days in "Pending Delete", the blog is deleted.

On Hold - Read Only
Blogs in this state can be read, but readers cannot make comments. Administrators will not be able to make changes, nor will writers be able to post new articles or files.
On Hold
A blog that is "On Hold" is completely inaccessible. Administrators cannot make changes, writers cannot post new articles or files, and readers cannot read the blog or make comments.
The status of an "On Hold" / "On Hold - Read Only" blog can be changed by the reseller in the Blog Settings page for that blog.

Package

The disk space / transfer-usage allocation package for the blog. For more details about packages, see Packages.

Created

The date and time when the blog was created.

Actions

Actions you can take for the blog. Currently, only one action is possible: logging into the Control Panel for that blog as if you were its owner, with full administrative privileges. For more details, see Logging Into a Blog's Control Panel as its Owner.
