Using Publishers' Blacklists to Add Hostnames / IPs to the Global Blacklist

Previous page  First page  Next page

When a publisher chooses to "Delete and Block" comments or trackbacks, the IP address or hostname of the blocked item is added to the publisher’s firewall. Future comments, trackbacks, and references from that hostname or IP address will be denied and will not be posted on their blog.

Using the Spam Blocks tab in the Reseller Control Panel, you can keep track of IP addresses or hostnames blocked by all publishers in your Reseller account. Resellers can then delete their publishers' blocked hostnames and IPs from this list, or submit them for inclusion in the global blacklist. Tucows will determine if a submitted hostname or IP address should be marked for inclusion in the global blacklist.
