Re: Other Custom Components??
by pogblog
Two COMPONENT questions (I've already read all the Blogware Help on components I can find.) I made what I thought was a Custom Component piggybacking on an already existing one & I saved it but who knows where it lives. I can't find it in the Component Columns. I have a three column blog. I am desperate to make a little custom header in a colored bar like Recent Entries or Topics. I would like it to act like Topics, say, where I can put in things to click on. Basically it would BE Topics, but I could break up the list. I thougt I could trick it by this piggy-backing on a existing component trick and just change the Words in the bar, but I can't figure it out & it's driving me nuts. Idon't mind fighting it so much if I KNOW the capability exists. I love Blogware very much. It is smart and fun & brilliantly designed. There is a tweak tho. A lot of times if you paste a simple Word document (Times Roman 12 pt) that you wrote offline into The post Article section, any bold (or italics) will spread through the whole piece after you save it. This doesn't show up in Preview before this first Save. Not every time, but most of the time. You can go back to Post Manager & fix it, but it's a pretty frequent nuisance. Underlining doesn't do this, so I usually underline what I want to bold ir italic & then tweak it after the first Save in Blogware.
