Yesterday I left you with the statement that Blogware really shines when it comes to the needs of Bloggers. What does this mean? Very simply, the internet doesn't make sharing easy for the average internet user. Blogware does.
For instance, Blogware makes it much easier for you to share pictures, video, links, documents, presentations and newsletters over the web with your friends, family and colleagues. You can post information directly to your blog via email, a friendly web editor and even your cellullar phone. We've also made Blogware simple to use. There is no HTML to learn, no new software to download and install and best of all, no need to learn how to use FTP, CGI or other confusing tools. Blogware lets you quickly and easily create secure online photo albums in just seconds. Even better, you can use your Blogware photo albums to share pictures with your friends and family direct from your cameraphone. Blogware is extremely user friendly and will even let you share links to your favorite websites with everyone you know with one easy mouse-click. Blogware users value their security and privacy. Blogware protects it. We make it easy for you to keep your family memories, important corporate documents and other sensitive details safe from prying eyes and out of the hands of the wrong people. Blogware is completely secure. You must specifically give other users explicit permission to view sensitive or confidential information, familty pictures or corporate documents. You can use Blogware to keep your digital photos off the public internet by putting them in a private area that only your family members have access to. Need to share sensitive corporate information with co-workers, but can't afford the cost and hassle of a VPN? Blogware allows you to safeguard categories from interlopers with a sophisticated, yet easy to use authentication and encryption tool that makes sure that only the users you've selected can view your private data. Blogware will even allow you to ban undesirable users in three easy steps. All in all, there are hundreds of features that we could talk about here, and over time, we will. In the next entry, I'll provide further detail about our industry standards support and the partners that help us make all of this happen.

Where should feature requests be sent?
For example, I'd like the "recent visitors" component to have the option of inserting "anonymous visitor" when a user without a login visits. I can tell from the logs of the images on my blog that I get about 40 anonymous visitors for every logged-in one. I'd like to be able to see that in the component. Re: Re: Under the Hood Part II

i would like to be able to split my 'topics' into two different categories. for example, i would like to be able to put my photo albums under one heading, and then have the topics under another. is this possible?

Could someone point me to information on how blogware security works. For example how do I secure files that I upload using the file manager/ftp. Are attachments to posts that only appear in secure categories secure? How is the username and password I use to login to blogware encrypted during tranmission etc.

Files that you upload cannot be secured.
Files that are sent as attachments to a post are secured using the same permissions as the post (or category if applicable). Logins are encrypted using SSL where appropriate and in some cases, if provided by your reseller. Trackbacks
